freaky nightmares

The star of our show, at the moment, Huckleberry,

Has a VERY FREAKY dream.  It is one of those repetitive dreams that you have over and over more times than once. A redundancy. It freaks him out whenever he has it.  In the middle of a dream, a plate of cookies appears.  He tries to grab one, AND HE CAN'T.  It's just poof.  They just aren't grabbable.  They don't disappear.

Seriously, it is disturbing.  So then I told him about my repetitive dream that I had when I was a kid, that I would dream that I would go to school in my pajamas.  I would realize I was in my pajamas before I got there, but I couldn't turn around.  I would arrive at school in my pajamas.

There was shame.  There was horror.  It is probably the main reason I homeschool my kids. 

But apparently it was not as disturbing as the ungrabbable cookies.  Huck's only response to my opening up to him about my disturbing dream was "That's weird."
