scout folds diapers

At the manor, we use this very special diaper fold.  It’s called the Oriental fold because it’s kind of like Origami.  You end up with this sailboatish looking diaper with all the padding down the middle and it only takes one pin to lock it on.  It fits any size baby. They dry really fast because they are folded using flat one layer flannel diapers. Boys like to fold them.  Anyone like to fold them.  But they are particularly handy because boys, including husbands, like to fold them.

So it came as no surprise to me when Scout announced the other day that she has been teaching her fellow college mates how to fold diapers.  They don't have any diapers at college so they use tea towels and dish cloths.  The Newman Guide doesn't actually list which colleges and universities support the extracurricular activity of diaper folding.  I am thinking this might be because not that many post secondary institutions have a enough students interested in adding this activity into their very busy college lives.

I am aware that I have some young adult readership, but I actually thought that it would be the young mamas who make up the majority of readers who would be interested in folding diapers. I am thinking of doing a youtube video on how to fold the Oriental fold.  What think you dear readers?

One small impediment is that I am not computer literate.  The fact that this blog exists at all is nothing short of a miracle.  But Grace must be strutting its stuff, because, despite my severe lack of technological prowess, the blog grows quickly and mammals are making their mark.

So, I cannot promise you success, but I can promise I will try, if you would like it, to teach you all to fold diapers.

In my short list of acclaimed skills, this one takes its place of honour.
